The key to a good meal is simplicity and the right seasoning.
Simplicity starts with the number of ingredients, but also with the tools we use for cooking. That is why one pot cooking has its charm. You put every ingredient into the pot and start cooking. It is that simple.
In this recipe you put the ingredients in this sequence to the pot and cook it for 20 minutes. Let’s get started:
- one cup buckwheat
- two cups of water
- half onion and 3 garlic gloves chopped
- mushrooms
- salt, pepper and thyme to season
- a little bit of olive oil
This recipe is not just simple but nutritious and also delicious. Ultimately this is enough for me for a good meal.
I like to add some greens to it, when it cooled down a bit, like spinach, parsley or coriander.
