I take your privacy seriously, and I want this page to actually tell you something, rather than sit there as legal wallpaper. So here's what happens when you visit Soul Magic Studio, sign up for something, or send me a message.
Who I am
Soul Magic Studio is run by me, Agnes. If you ever have a question about your data, you can reach me directly at agnes@soulmagicstudio.com. I'm based in the UK, and this policy is written to meet UK GDPR.
What I collect, and why
If you download the free Soulful Website Map or subscribe to Letters from the Moon I collect your name and email address through SendFox, my email provider. I use this to send you the guide, and — if you've subscribed — my monthly new moon letter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or by contacting me directly.
If you send a message through the contact form I collect your name, email address, and whatever you choose to write. This goes to HappyForms and then straight to my inbox. I use it only to reply to you. If you're writing to me about the branding service and you share your birth details, I use that solely for your chart reading — never for anything else, and never shared.
If you buy The Soul Page or another product Purchases are handled by Gumroad. Gumroad processes your payment directly — I never see or store your card details. I receive your name, email, and order information so I can deliver your files and answer any questions about your order.
If you enquire about a branding service Alongside your message, this may include details you choose to share about yourself — such as your birth date, time, and place, if we get that far. This is used only to prepare your reading and brand guide.
The Soul Code reading tool - Mini reading
When you use the Soul Code reading tool on this site, you give me your birth date, birth time and birth place, and optionally your first name and email address. I use these to calculate your chart and produce your reading.
The calculation happens on this website's own server. Your birth details are not sent to any external astrology service, and your PDF is created by your own browser rather than stored here.
I keep a record of each reading: the date it was taken, the name and email address if you gave them, your birth details, and your Sun, Moon and Rising signs. I do this so I can see how the tool is being used and, where you have given an email address, write to you about this work. My lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. Your IP address is not recorded.
These records are stored in this website's database, hosted by Namecheap. I keep them for 24 months after which I delete them.
You can ask me at any time to tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email agnes@soulmagicstudio.com and I will do it within one month.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand, in general terms, how people find and use the site — which pages are popular, roughly where visitors come from, that kind of thing. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this, and you'll see a short banner asking for your consent before it runs. If you'd rather not be tracked, you can decline, and the site will work exactly the same either way.
I don't use analytics to track you individually, build a profile of you, or sell any data to anyone.
Who else touches your data
A few trusted tools help run this site, and each of them processes a little bit of your data on my behalf:
- SendFox — email delivery and the newsletter list
- HappyForms — the contact form
- Gumroad — payment processing and product delivery
- Google Analytics — website usage statistics
- Namecheap — hosts the website itself
Each of these has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data, and none of them have permission to use your information for their own marketing.
How long I keep things
- Newsletter and freebie sign-ups: kept until you unsubscribe
- Contact form messages: kept as long as needed to help you, then deleted
- Order records: kept for 6 years, as UK tax law requires
- Branding enquiry details (including any birth information): kept only as long as needed for your project, then deleted on request
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask me at any time to:
- See what data I hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your data
- Withdraw consent (for example, unsubscribing from the newsletter)
Just email agnes@soulmagicstudio.com and I'll sort it promptly. If you ever feel your data hasn't been handled properly, you also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If anything here changes — a new tool, a new way I use your data — I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
